Call of Duty Modern Warfare Tips and Tricks

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare managed to take the world by storm and it really is a very interesting, exciting and fun game. That being said, it’s also quite competitive, which makes it a pleasure to play and enjoy. With that in mind, this is the type of game that you will play again and again very often. But if you want to become a better player, you need to think about some of the potential challenges that can arise here. We are here to help you learn more about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and how you can get better at this game.

Flank your enemies if possible

It’s very important to know the maps, as you will know where enemies will end up being more often than not. Most maps tend to be in favor of things like medium or long distance firefights. The idea here is that you want to embrace the gameplay and really make it as rewarding and as fun as it can be. With that in mind, if you flank your enemies and take the long route to their side of the map, you can get some easy kills. It will help a lot if you use the perk that doesn’t make any noise, as you can go there undetected and it will surely help quite a bit.

Use doors often

The doors might not seem like a lot, but they can be used for peeking. Or you can close all the doors and stay inside hidden, then attack when you hear them. You can even throw a grenade from the door if you want, so that’s something to consider. The fact that you can keep doors closed and protect yourself can help a lot especially in the case of a game mode like Domination.

Play around the objective

You always want to focus on playing the objective as that’s what will give you the best results in the game. You want to show that you are able to play adequately and constantly improve. It’s not the easiest thing to do but it will give a sense of value and quality, and that alone will shine.

Don’t reload all the time

Sure, it might sound great to have all the ammo you need, but enemies can appear at any time. And that means you might die reloading. Which is why you should only reload in safe places. Sometimes it’s better to attack enemies instead of just staying there, so try to take that into account and you will be fine for the most part.

Work on your load outs

You don’t want to play with a single loadout all the time. Instead, what you want to do is to vary your loadouts and try out all kinds of play styles. Once you do that you will have a lot more fun and the experience will be better since you get to adapt and improve. Always try to use that to your own advantage and you will be fine in the end.

Take cover as much as possible

This resonates with the main idea here, you need to play tactically in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. There’s no way around that. Keep movements at a minimum and instead focus on taking cover as much as you can. Only when you take cover often you will know how to play the game adequately. And while it will be a tricky thing to do at first, it’s definitely the best approach and you want to use that as an advantage if possible.

Experiment with the weapon sights

The sights provided in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are very different. You will notice that there are close to a dozen of them for your weapons. Some are great for short distance accuracy. Others will be more focused on thermals and so on. Try to use that to your advantage and you will be quite impressed with the way everything comes together. You just need to give this a try and you will enjoy the experience.

Always aim for the head

When you try to do a headshot, you will down the enemy faster. That means you can take the enemies a lot easier, even if there are more of them when compared to you. It’s one of the best ways to secure kills fast and it does work quite nicely once you get the hang of it.

Use field upgrades

These upgrades are good because you have all sorts of different perks you can use. The munitions box is great, the recon drone will spot enemies and so on. They are quite diverse and if you decide to unlock the pro upgrades, you can have 2 of them at once. So it’s very exciting and you may want to give that a try nonetheless.

Enter the Gunsmith

Here you can basically customize all your weapons the way you want. The main idea with customizing weapons is that you want to make the most out of them and their features. Ideally you want to push the boundaries and add in the right muzzle, laser, ammo and perks you want. While every weapon is different, there are definitely things to check out and enjoy here, and for the most part it can lead to some awesome results. You just have to give it a try yourself and just enjoy it.

Reload while aiming

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare allows you to do that, and it’s actually the type of thing that will work more than you expect. Reloading as you aim will give you confidence to prepare to shoot enemies, and you can always have a full clip ready to go. It makes sense to do that, and you might want to give it a try anyway.

All in all, learning to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare better is all about practice. Playing a variety of game modes and understanding them is at the core of the game. And of course, you need to experiment with weapons until you find the right ones for you!
