Short answer: yes. The PS5 Pro can lie flat. But the way you lay it down actually matters more than most people think.
Whether you've got an original PS5, PS5 Pro, or a PS5 Slim, this guide covers everything you need to know about going horizontal.
What Sony Gives You (And What It Doesn't)
Every PS5 comes with a set of little feet in the box. They clip onto the bottom of the console and let you place it flat on a surface.
They work. But they're not exactly built for stability. The console can shift around, and there's not much grip on most desk or shelf surfaces.
💡 The included feet are a starting point — not the final form.

Disc Edition vs Digital Edition — Does It Matter?
It does, actually. Here's the deal:
• Original PS5: comes with a bottom circle plate. Attach from the bottom (vertical) or on the side (horizontal).
• PS5 Slim / Pro: comes with tall or short plastic feet depending on Disc or Digital edition. For the PS5 Pro, it only comes with the tall feet and the disc drive is sold separately.
None of these are deal-breakers for horizontal placement. But it's worth knowing before you start rearranging your setup.

Why We Made the Glistco Skates
We got tired of the wobble.

A lot of PS5 setups look great on Instagram until you actually try to use them. The included Sony feet slide on smooth surfaces, don't have much grip, and offer basic airflow elevation.
So we designed the Skates from scratch. Here's what we were thinking:
• Rubber base pads to grip any surface. No more console creep.
• Raised profile that keeps airflow moving underneath the console.
• Fits all the PS5 consoles and models.
• Built for the clean setup.

Do the PS5 Pro and Slim Share the Same Skates?
Yes, the Skates fit both PS5 Slim/Pro too. Both Disc and Digital editions.
The Slim is lighter and a bit smaller than the original PS5 or the Pro. Our Skates are split into two separate pieces, so they flex to fit different console widths. Same Skates, same vibe. If you've got a Slim or a Pro and you're wondering if your accessories still work — they do.
If you've upgraded to a Slim and you're wondering if your accessories still work — they do.

We also have the Skates designed for the original PS5. Check it out here:

Not Sure Which PS5 You Have?
It can get confusing — Sony has released a lot of versions. Before you grab any accessories, make sure you know exactly which model you're working with.

Final Take
Going horizontal is a totally valid choice. Whether it's about shelf space, cabinet fit, or just personal preference, lying your PS5 flat works well.
The Sony feet get the job done. But if you want a setup that actually stays put, looks clean, and keeps airflow going, the Glistco Skates are worth it.
